Elmhurst Artists' Guild Fall Members Show

Sep 7th–Oct 11th 2019

The Elmhurst Artists’ Guild will host their Fall Members Show_,_ featuring a variety of original artwork created by EAG members. The exhibition will be on view in the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild Gallery.

This exhibit runs through the first week of October which coincides with Arts DuPage Month, a community-wide celebration of the arts encouraging DuPage residents to expand their relationship with the arts in their own community.

“The Fall Members Show is the kick-off for our 2019-2020 season,” says James Negley, EAG President. “It will feature a wide range of amazing art made by our members, in a range of media and topics. The show will usher in Arts DuPage Month and the guild has plans in the works for additional festivities in early October. Stay tuned!”

Of the many artists that will be displaying works in the Fall Members Show, EAG member Ross Felton will be exhibiting his artwork entitled, “Riot”. The piece is a portrayal of the 1964 race riots in Detroit and the artist’s intention is to show that social injustices affect the whole of society, not just those who are directly involved with a conflict. Additionally, EAG Member Terri Gregory will be showing, “Tap the Root!”, which depicts an enormous anthropomorphic flower used to symbolize human potential.

The Elmhurst Artists’ Guild is a not-for-profit organization that runs the EAG Gallery which features contemporary works of art in a variety of styles and media. In addition to four member shows each year, the guild hosts exhibitions of individual member’s artwork and invitational shows for significant local artists. EAG welcomes new members.
