Selections from the Cleve Carney Bequest

Feb 7th–May 3rd 2015

In 2014, Elmhurst Art Museum was bequeathed nearly 300 works from the collection of Cleve Carney (1939-2013), a longtime Board member, donor and supporter of the museum. The largest gift in EAM’s history, these paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and video installations by an international group of artists will be a significant addition to the collection, broadening the scope of the museum’s holdings of contemporary art. This presentation highlights select work from the donation and serves as a tribute to the vision, the patronage and the generosity of Cleve Carney, who will be truly missed.
